A janky Vanilla JavaScript prototype of a Rogue-like space shooter, shamelessly cobbled together from Asteroids, Space Invaders, Gyruss, Vampire Survivors, and Talented. It’s rough. It’s ugly. It’s barely playable. Consider it a "proof of regret" rather than a proof of concept. Proceed at your own risk—masochists and indie devs only. Guaranteed to make you question my life choices (and yours for playing it). Of course I've leave my job to give my life to this project. And my wife consider to do the same (not became a gamedev) since I'll try for the first time a game jam... And I'm older than the oldest game of the list of inspiration.

Ah yes, I forgot—because I’m a genius—that I developed the game exclusively for my ultra-rare, cinematic widescreen resolution. You know, the one nobody else has? My bad.

Maybe I’ll ‘innovate’ by adding scrollbars and call it ‘Hard Mode.’ Who needs playtesting when you can gaslight players into thinking horizontal scrolling is an immersive challenge?

Try some keys like :
b for the shield
p for pause
space for most of selection
Arrows for shooting in a direction combinaison is usefull

ZQSD too

1 - 2  - 3 - 4 to choose the color of the bullet for advanced level in fact you can only kill an ennemy with a bullet of his color.

X Y A B on the Gamepad you can try every buttons far more easy than the keyboard and directions of course.

j for a kind of a dumb autoplay for testing but I use it most of the time because my gameplay sucks.

*** Newly added Mouse support ***. Use it only during the game. But it's only an advice. You can activate the mouse by left clicking the mouse. The character will only fire when you move in the direction you want to shoot. So you've to move to shoot.That's a game design choice. That will probably change. Middle click activate the shield and right button the reload.

Addendoumi:  You can also fire by left clicking. It's seems that make a better experience for player.

Good luck !

10 different type of enemies even of 9 of them are slimes.
4 different weapon (the double fire should be an evolution of single fire but still not implemented).

10 different skin that made no difference at all.

3 different kind of shield

2 Passive abilities

A lot of powerup but I still don't know if it made any differences
